The theories of dreaming (Second theory)

Another theory states that the brain is actually trying to protect us, which is why we forget what we dreamed. Do you know those dreams that feel very real and intense? Those dreams that occasionally merge with our reality? Well, it is said that in order to not lose our dreams in our waking experience, the brain does everything it can to make us forget what we are dreaming and, in this way, shields us.

Studies show that there is a region in our brains called the temporoparietal junction. Its role is to deal with emotions and the way we process information. It also has the function of putting us in a state of intra-sleep wakefulness, which can help us recall our dreams more often. People who have more activity in this region of the brain can remember their dreams at a higher percentage than those who don’t.
