This tactic works best when it is used on people who are more likely to be agreeable and who don’t usually take action when any kind of injustice is done to them.

Abusers say this to you because they want to make your point of view seem less important than theirs. What you are thinking or feeling doesn’t matter to them. The only thing that should matter to you is how they feel and what they think.

In a more simple manner, they are trying to explain to you that they don’t want to listen to your opinions in case you don’t agree with them.

“You’re nothing without me”

Narcissists like to be adored. It’s their favorite thing in the whole world! They are usually obsessed with the illusion of how powerful they are. These people think that everything around them is there because they allowed it to exist.

This applies to their relationships too. They consider that if you didn’t have them by your side, you would be nothing. Narcissists expect you to give them credit for all of your achievements. They will tell you that you owe them everything for that success.
