8. Gaslighting 

All forms of manipulation are bad, but this is definitely 1 of the worst, and in a few seconds, you’ll see exactly why.

According to relationship counselors, gaslighting happens when someone wants to make other people second-guess themselves by using different ways to twist reality.

All they want is to make you feel like they’re good people, and they do it by telling you that they’re not mean to you and that everything is in your head or that you can’t remember properly because you’re too tired.

Things like that give off the impression that you misunderstood some situations or you misremembered something, but lucky you, they are there to tell you the truth. NO, NO, NO!

That’s not okay, and it’s best to stay away from people who make you second-guess your memory, your judgment, and yourself.

By doing so, they’ll trick you into wasting your time in a relationship that actually hurts you, but you can’t see it because you’re being manipulated.
