#7 They Want More Grandchildren

The mother-in-law is overjoyed because her son has a child, but it won’t be long before she starts pushing the daughter-in-law to have another child since she feels like she needs another grandchild. When that happens, people will start asking when there will be a new baby, as if having a new baby is a piece of cake.

This is understandable given that the mother-in-law isn’t the one giving birth and will just be taking in the happiness and excitement of having a kid rather than the effort that comes with raising many children. Any daughter-in-law will also agree that it can finally sound like nails being scratched on a chalkboard to hear her mother-in-law ask about having more grandchildren.
