3. Emotional blackmail is her weapon

Emotional manipulation is when you make the other person feel guilty for not doing what you want them to do. This is a form of emotional abuse that may seem harmless and subtle at times, but in reality, it’s very damaging.

If your wife is good at emotionally blackmailing you, everything for her is difficult because she loves you so much that she’ll die if you leave her alone. She’ll make you believe that she’s always the victim here.

A woman like this keeps on saying to her partner that she’s incomplete without him. Moreover, she may even suggest that you should be dependent on her, just as she’s dependent on you. If your wife calls emotional blackmail into play every time she wants something done, this should be a serious sign that something’s off.

Look for these red flags: Does she suffer publicly and dramatically until you feel you must give her exactly what she wants? Does she resort to threats to make you do (or not do) something? Keep in mind that we all have a certain level of insecurity, but this doesn’t mean that we become manipulative to plug that feeling.
