One of the quickest and easiest ways to know if your partner is a potential narcissist is by paying attention to the way they speak. Pathological narcissist absolutely loves to talk about themselves, usually in a manner that gives off the impression they’re the queen and kind of the world.
They’re also people who like to be at the center of attention at all costs, including in simple conversations. Some of their favorite topics include their achievements and successes (experts say that this is the trophy complex) and the impressive and envy-worthy activities they usually engage in.
Besides all of the things previously mentioned, they might also express a huge focus on their personal problems, pay excessive attention to the way they look or on the material things they want, and even put others down so they can feel better about themselves.
My father was a confirmed narcissist. I spent my entire life trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. He constantly put myself and others down. I can’t describe how hard it was to deal with being led to believe I was not as good as others. If you are in a relationship with one get out of it soon as you can. Run don’t walk away.

Used me to get into this country and a green card. 8 months after she came here she started seeing other men while I was at work. I took care of her and her kids. Until she got her green card and it was too late and I had enough so I divorce her. Sorry America.
I was with my then-husband for 20 years after a 5-year depression It turned out in 2021 he started an affair and told me in late 2022. then told me he wanted us to be in a polyamorous relationship with this guy. After a suicide attempt. then left me a week later I continue to live in our home with his sick father who he barely sees and he’s not able to communicate with me. he can’t control me and he’s afraid of me and it’s frustrating.

I was married to a person that you have just described. He falls into every one of your categories. He was fired from his job b/c of the way he talked to and treated other employees. I divorced him, and he nearly went off the rails.
