Get ready for a list of essential questions that will change how you see the world!

Curiosity is what makes this world keep spinning, and this makes it a great tool for anyone who wants to become better. If self-discovery is what you are looking for, some well-thought-out questions can be the only guide you’ll ever need.

Questions are these helpful allies you have that make you get out of your comfort zone and see who you really are. This is the first step you can take when self-actualization is your goal, and what we like the most about this is that it’s not scary at all.

Take a moment and look at your true self! We know that this is not the easiest task and the following questions are created to help you reach the deepest corners of yourself without too much trouble.

So, are you ready for this? If your answer is yes, then you should keep reading. This article is just for you, and in the end, you’ll be thankful for doing this!

“How do you feel at this moment?”

Let’s start this string of questions in a neutral and general manner. Asking yourself how you feel should be done more often. Unfortunately, we forget to do this and end up living most of our lives on autopilot without taking care of ourselves the proper way.

Being aware of how you’re doing at this exact moment is probably the most powerful weapon at your disposal. When your feelings and your mind are aligned, you are in full control, and you can decide to start making changes.

Start interrogating yourself about your feelings more, and at some point, you will notice that things will start heading to a brighter future. It might seem like a slow process because it’s true it can take a while, but in the end, it is totally worth it, and it will change your life.

“If you had one hour to spend a million dollars, what would you do?”

When you first hear it, this seems to be a funny question, right? Of all the questions we have on this list, this one can look like the most light-hearted one, but after all, humor is a good way to approach serious topics.

We know, we know that some of you will see this as a stupid question because you will never have that money. But please try to cooperate just a little bit because answering this question can help you learn a lot about yourself. Maybe the simple act of not wanting to answer can say more than words could.

So, you have one million dollars in your hands and just an hour to spend them all. What a wonderful way to dive into your priorities, passions, and personality. What will you do? Maybe you’ll transform into the ultimate philanthropist and give all the money to the charity. Or maybe you will be more practical and simply pay off debt or try to make something to secure the future of your family.

The more you look at it, the less funny it gets. We are still talking about the question.

“What’s one thing you genuinely appreciate about yourself right now, in this very moment?”

Take a step back and take a look at yourself. What is the thing you appreciate the most about yourself? This is not one of those easy questions, but it’s a good way to reflect on who you are.

Try to think that if you were to make yourself a compliment now, what would that be? Self-appreciation is a key ingredient for growth, and you should try to see if there is anything you like about yourself.

Most of the time you will find something even in the darkest moments when you feel like the worst person in the world. Maybe it’s your resilience. You bounce back no matter what. Or perhaps it’s your kindness.

Whatever it is, take pride in it. And keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you are arrogant. It means that you are aware of who you are, and you appreciate it.

“How would you define “love” in your own words?”

Love is so complex, and this word can mean so many things to different people that a general definition is not enough. At its core, love is a very personal experience. Even if we all talk about love, what it really means to us is a personal matter, and it would be nice to know what love means to you.

Some define love as unconditional acceptance. Seeing someone for who they truly are, flaws and all, and still choosing to stick with them. Others define love as a feeling of security and safety, understanding that no matter what happens, somebody is going to have your back.

Another thing about love is that it has transformative power. It challenges us until we become better versions of ourselves. It teaches us to embrace vulnerability. It’s not always easy to love, but knowing what love means to you is one way to make things more manageable.

“If you could change one moment from your past, what would it be?”

Do you ever find yourself looking back at your past and thinking about all of your regrets? Having regrets is a normal part of the human experience, but sometimes it is good to look back and try to pinpoint the things you want to change if this could have been possible.

Maybe you have already been doing that, but you can take this one step up and try to see how you would make that change. Be it a decision, an opportunity missed, or a word we didn’t say, those moments often stick with us. They are now a part of us, and analyzing what this has left behind can help us understand ourselves better.

What is so interesting about reflecting on our regrets is that maybe if you had made a different choice at some point in your life, you would have turned into an entirely different person. So, why didn’t you make that decision? Were you trying to become the person you are today? Was that just a coincidence? These are all great questions, and you should never stop yourself from asking them.

“What are your thoughts on spending three days in solitude?”

When you first look at this question, you might say that this is truly easy. To stay a couple of days by yourself? Not a big deal! Anyone can do that, right? Well, at first yes, it doesn’t seem that bad, but would you really do it?

Try to imagine what you would do alone for three days. Maybe the first day will feel good. You finally have some time to relax. But how about the others? After a while of spending time by yourself, you might start to think about various things. Such as what is the meaning of your life and so on.

This is why people dread being alone. They have all the time in the world to think, and all of the stuff you try so hard to shove down on a regular day finally has the chance to come up and make you aware of its existence.
