“I remember it differently”

This is especially important when you’re being told by a narcissist that you may be imagining something or that something never happened.

Tell them you recall the situation so they can’t manipulate circumstances. And don’t let them make you doubt yourself.

“Does your request sound fair to you?”

Appeal to their sense of logic and try to get them to stand down. Occasionally, a question that’s clarified can distract them from their sense of entitlement.
