You couldn’t have expected this type of quote to come from someone who isn’t at least a little bit poetic, and Maya Angelou is maybe one of the most famous poetic voices of the last few decades. She had a lot of titles and accolades under her name, but she was most famously known as a memoirist, civil rights activist, and popular poet.

She had a full 86 years of life, and if there is anyone who knew anything about growing old, it is her. After all, she aged gracefully, and she left us with some important words that most people should remember.

You should do something if you can do it at your own pace and with your own challenges based on your age. Don’t find excuses, and don’t leave it for another day. You never know when you will get that chance again.
