#4 Go on a scavenger hunt
Scavenger hunts transform ordinary walks into exciting experiences since all youngsters like a good treasure hunt. Start wandering and gathering the items on your checklist for your grandchild: an orange leaf, a Y-shaped twig, or a feather.
If the children are older and you have the time, you may create rhyming hints that they must decipher. You might also bring a camera and ask kids to snap pictures of things that start with every letter in the alphabet.
In addition to teaching kids observational skills, a scavenger hunt gives them a sense of achievement that they can celebrate with you as their teammate.
