#5 Often Makes You Feel Worse After Your Meeting

Due to difficulties raised or the perception that the work done during the session was ineffective or unrelated, clients may leave the session feeling terrible.

Usually, this is not the case, but occasionally it can be the clinician’s fault.

Of course, there is a chance that the client’s negative post-session feelings are a result of the clinician’s lack of care or assistance. This may occasionally result from a bad fit between the client and the therapist or even more from the therapist’s constraints or limitations.

In either case, it must be addressed, ideally by a therapist who is aware of the possibility that their patient may not be benefiting from the therapy sessions.
