5. They always say they didn’t do anything
When you have the impression that your partner isn’t being honest with you and you decide to confront them, they’re more likely to get defensive and say that they didn’t do anything.
If your partner always gives you long explanations for why things happened, they might be trying to trick you into thinking they’re telling the truth.
They go into excessive depth and overexplain everything as a way to convince you of something. This behavior is a clear red flag of a lying partner’s guilt. When someone is trying too hard to make up for lying, they become defensive in every situation.
