7. Cultivate gratitude
“Be thankful for your life every day!” When I was a young child, my mother used to say this to me. I had no idea at the time, but she was correct! Every day, take the time to simply say “thank you” for the people in your life, the experiences you’ve had, the valuable life lessons you’ve learned in the past, and the natural beauty that surrounds you. This will help you stay connected to reality and help you realize how rich your life is right now!
8. Keep it simple and live in the present
For at least a couple of minutes, forget about deadlines, that gigantic to-do list, and other daily tasks. Take a deep breath and observe what moves around you and for you. Don’t let your phone or your TV distract you! Allow yourself some time without any screens, and you will notice how refreshing it can be. And remember that spirituality isn’t about money, power, or fame. It’s about being more present in your life! Be there for your friends and family, but also know when it’s time to draw a line and focus on what matters most to you!
In my opinion, simplicity is refreshing in a society ruled by consumerism where everybody is rushing to get their hands on material things.
Life is so beautiful; let’s allow some time to enjoy it properly!
