Endocrine Glands
There is an interesting and unique characteristic of your endocrine glands: they function in a manner that involves interaction and interdependence. These glands are responsible for releasing different hormones and if they have any under or over-activity, it can result in decreases or increases in hormones. As you can imagine, these can lead to several personality disorders, like:
- Thyroid – this produces a fundamental hormone called thyroxine, but if there’s too much of it, it can cause stress and instability.
- Parathyroid – your parathyroid glands are responsible for releasing a hormone called parathyroid which regulates the amount of calcium that is present in your blood. If this gland is too active, it can make people emotionally unstable and irritable.
