Successful work-life balance implies spending your time meaningfully in each of the two spheres. If you make sure you spend your time outside of work doing activities and pursuing hobbies that align with your values, you can recharge your internal batteries and feel more fulfilled.

This is also a great way to help you be more present at work. You’ll be less likely to feel stressed or unhappy if you know that you have enough opportunities for a life outside of work as well.

Likewise, if you engage in meaningful, challenging projects at work, you’ll be more likely to look at work as something fulfilling and, therefore, find that both your personal life and work are valuable.
