They forbid you to meet with your best friend
Alright, so they won’t bother with the way your in-laws talk to you, but they have the guts to forbid you from seeing your closest friends? Well, talking about audacity! It’s understandable if they don’t like your friend, your sister, your maid of honor, or your childhood friend.
After all, they fell in love with you, apart from anything else. But your spouse should never require you to cut ties with someone they don’t like. Of course, if your best friend happens to be your ex, then it’s a whole other deal and things are a bit more complicated than that.
But just because your partner doesn’t like your best friend’s attitude or the fact that you like to gossip when you and your friends go out, it doesn’t mean that your partner should ask you to terminate any friendship with a certain person.
