6. Don’t insist too much on your personal beliefs
Why? Narcissists can only handle their perspective, and they do everything based on how they feel and what they get in return. When they are being attacked, the natural instinct is to defend themselves and prove that they were right.
Arguing the point can quickly escalate into an unpleasant situation that can last a long time because they are unwilling to let things go easily. It’s important to speak about all the things that you’re OK with. Try not to get stuck explaining or second-guessing your moves. Be more subtle but specific during the conversation, even if there are low chances for them to understand or care about your opinion.
If you don’t want to end up in a terrible fight, tell them you disagree with their assessment, and then you can move on.
