While Johnny Cash has delighted our ears with his songs for years and a lot of hits, there probably isn’t a more famous song of his than I Still Miss Someone. The melody of this song is actually pretty simple, and while some would turn their heads at it, what makes this song so special is how deep and painfully heartfelt the lyrics are.
The lyrics talk about love, and while it is the world’s most coveted emotion when it comes to songs, it is also easy to make into a cliche. This Johnny Cash song has been so successful because of how much honesty and truth are behind their lyrics, and partially because the songs about losing love are the ones that stay with the public the most!
We cannot say we are surprised to know that it has been Jonny’s most covered song and one of his own favorites over the years. Other artists who we all know and love that have covered this song are Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, and Gram Parson, just to name a few!
