Over the past few years, I’ve experienced a great deal of stress; my work has kept me so busy that I’ve barely had time to sleep. Additionally, my partner and I have had to pay off some of our old debt and downsize to a smaller home. Everything came in waves, and we were both so overwhelmed that not even all the magnesium in the world could have helped us.
Then I met a close friend of one of my co-workers who was a yoga instructor and offered me help. I accepted her invitation to go to a free meditation lesson, and I ended up loving it. If you’re not comfortable doing it with a group and you prefer the privacy of your home, it’s great too.
In the following lines, I will tell you how doing meditation for 30 days straight changed my life for good and lowered my stress levels considerably.

What benefits can meditation bring to your life?
A sense of balance, tranquility, and calm that comes from meditation can improve both your general health and emotional well-being. By focusing on something that relaxes you, you can also use it to de-stress and manage stress. You can learn to maintain inner peace and center yourself by practicing meditation.
One thing that I learned after doing meditation for 30 days is that the benefits of it will continue even further after the session ends. I managed to navigate the days more peacefully, and at the same time, meditation also helped me control the symptoms of certain illnesses.
If you wish to give it a try, begin with small steps and avoid rushing yourself. Most importantly, when you meditate, it is to completely detach from the world around you. If this is your first time and you’re just getting started to get used to meditation, I recommend aiming for 10 minutes. Get settled and make sure you’re relaxed; you can put some music on in the background if it helps you detach completely (but something without lyrics). Then focus on your breathing and spend a couple of minutes just sitting with your eyes closed. Don’t think of anything; just relax, but don’t fall asleep. Now probably those 10 minutes flew by, and you’re done for the day. Congratulate yourself because you deserve it!
