1. Every tiny event is a huge one
You can easily detect if you hang out with a pathological liar by simply paying attention to how they react and tell people about other things.
Let’s say that you had an encounter with somebody, and it was only a tiny problem, nothing too important.
However, you’re out with a group, and you notice that the person you’re with starts telling them about your episode, but things are different; the details aren’t the same.
Everything you said is different; they add all sorts of details that couldn’t be further from the truth. Basically, they have a different version of the story in their heads, and they might know that they lied, but they want to project their version into reality.
