5. Manipulation
There are narcissists who will manipulate their significant others in a way that will help them fulfill their self-absorbed needs, meet some of their goals, or even cover up some of their self-perceived weaknesses and flaws.
For instance, some of them want to show off their romantic partners to their friends and family just to make those people jealous. In that case, do they really have feelings for their significant others? Or do they just use them to pretend that they’re happy and have everything they’ve ever wanted?
On the other hand, there are narcissistic people who would do anything they could to convince their partners to let them do the things they want. For example, we’ve read on a forum a comment left by a man and we couldn’t believe what he stated.
He said that he convinced his girlfriend to allow him to live with her rent-free and he also talked her into letting him use her car. Just like we’ve told you, they use manipulation for their own needs, and trust us, this is never a good sign for a romantic and healthy relationship.
My father was a confirmed narcissist. I spent my entire life trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. He constantly put myself and others down. I can’t describe how hard it was to deal with being led to believe I was not as good as others. If you are in a relationship with one get out of it soon as you can. Run don’t walk away.

Used me to get into this country and a green card. 8 months after she came here she started seeing other men while I was at work. I took care of her and her kids. Until she got her green card and it was too late and I had enough so I divorce her. Sorry America.
I was with my then-husband for 20 years after a 5-year depression It turned out in 2021 he started an affair and told me in late 2022. then told me he wanted us to be in a polyamorous relationship with this guy. After a suicide attempt. then left me a week later I continue to live in our home with his sick father who he barely sees and he’s not able to communicate with me. he can’t control me and he’s afraid of me and it’s frustrating.

I was married to a person that you have just described. He falls into every one of your categories. He was fired from his job b/c of the way he talked to and treated other employees. I divorced him, and he nearly went off the rails.
