#6 Martin Luther King Jr.
“Oh, the worst of all tragedies is not to die young, but to live until I am seventy-five and yet not ever truly to have lived.”
Martin Luther King Jr. has a lot of quotes that have been heard and known by everyone over the years. After all, he is an important figure in our history, and there is much to learn both from his words and from his actions. It would be weirder to not have a quote about life and growing old from him than it is to have one.
He reminds us that as much as it is a tragedy to lose your life at a young age, it is just as bad, if not worse, if people live without actually doing it. Without embracing life, doing what you want, and being able to enjoy every second of every day, Living without a cause or without joy is not something we should wish upon everyone.
Life is precious, and we should all do our best to live it to the fullest!
